Portrait

User AndreasPraefcke from Ravensburg, Germany, mainly working at de.wikisouce and de.wikipedia.

In Commons, I am trying to categorize images thematically, especially paintings and other images of art, see Category:Art by subject. Other interests are Theatre buildings, Concert halls, Gardens, Category:Organs, my hometown Ravensburg, the region of Upper Swabia and Lake Constance, and historical images of pretty much all kinds.

I have uploaded numerous of my own photos of buildings, churches and sculptures, and images of public domain works from various sources. See my Gallery. I have also uploaded some of my grandfather's photos. All photos that are marked with "own work" or "own photograph" in the "source" field are my own, shot with my own camera.

For further information, see my German wikipedia user page or my website.

For questions and discussion, please use my talk page on the Commons, or my German wikipedia discussion page. Feel free to write in English, German, or French.

License issues edit

If you want to use any of my photos found in Commons, you do not have to use the GFDL license (which would imply quoting the whole license even when used in printed works - what a nightmare of red tape!). I hereby license all my photos in Wikimedia Commons also as "CC-BY-3.0" and "CC-BY-4.0". Furthermore, I do not ask you to name the license, so you only have to note "Photo: Andreas Praefcke" or something similar whenever you want to use a picture.

License: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/deed.de
Please note that this is only applies to photos that I made myself, noted by "Photographed by Andreas Praefcke" or a similar statement on the description page. I also uploaded many pictures by other people from various wikipedia projects; for those this additional CC license does not apply. Please contact the original uploaders if you want to use these images and are unsure about the license issues.

All my photographs are under a free license and can hence be used without any cost. If you want to publish the photos and absolutely want to pay something for their use, please consider a donation towards the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz, or the fundraising organizations of museums and churches that take care of the depicted artworks. International users, please donate to a charity of your own choice.
